Reimagined: Franklin

Built in 1944, this was the true “ugly duckling” on an otherwise very cute street. Once again, badly maintained, with an awkward, added-on, chopped up kind of a layout. It definitely needed re-imagining….! We managed to create an open floor plan for the kitchen/living/dining area of the cottage (unheard of in those days), and a restful retreat feeling in the private areas. Along with adding much-needed curb appeal, we gave it a mix of modern and vintage-feel finishes, with a big nod to it’s 1940’s heyday.
