Reimagined: Santa Cruz
Funny story: this is the project that confirmed we just might be crazy after all!
It also proved we’re not really scared of ANY house….
Owned by the same family for over 90 years, it had been vacant awhile, rented sometimes, and home to, well, let’s just say, a few ‘unofficial’ occupants here and there. And the whole time, not one improvement or renovation had been done.
All of our prospective projects get named, and the day we drove up to this one,
it instantly became known as “The Crack House”. However….never judge a book by its cover, because we quickly realized the inside had really good, original ‘bones’ as we say. She became “Santa Cruz”, and we were delighted to bring her back to become a family home for someone once again.
